On this page is all the information that Grace Church Halewood wishes to share with you in relation to the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic.

You don’t need me to tell you that these are tremendously testing times. Each news bulletin brings fresh and rising figures. What we see happening in different parts of the world can cause us to fear for the future. Thankfully though, what we sometimes sing with the children is always true: “Our God is a great big God and He holds us in His hands.” As never before we need to remember He rules and reigns over all and as His precious people, we are eternally secure and forever safe. Never forget that!

As a church family we always want to show Christian care for one another. In the next number of weeks and months we have an opportunity to do this even more.

In keeping with government and expert medical advice, to ‘avoid all unnecessary social contact’ we WON’T be meeting on Sundays for the foreseeable future.

Every pastor I’ve spoken to this week have told me their churches are doing the same. The F.I.E.C. have also strongly recommended this too. We want to act responsibly, out of love and concern for each other and do all we possibly can to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Let me share with you what we plan to put in place instead. The sermon on John will be recorded each week and on Sunday at 11am this will go live on our website. It would be good try to watch this at the same time giving a sense we are hearing God’s Word together, even though we are in our homes. We will repeat this each week until we are able to meet again.

Mid-week you will receive a video where I will share some thoughts and applications from a Bible passage, and give prayer requests and news updates.

Please note we have also paused all our weekly activities, meetings and groups.

Thank you for your continued support. Please pray.

The video below is from a partner organisation, 10ofthose.com. It tells of a hope that lies beyond the current pandemic… have a watch (opens in a new window).
